Exploring Yoga &
Mindfulness

Yoga means union – a full presence with what is. It’s about embracing and integrating the parts of ourselves that we may find more challenging to accept. Your practice on the mat is your playground – a space to explore and get to know yourself deeply. In my classes, you will cultivate compassion and acceptance alongside focus and strength, working to find balance between opposing forces in life. This also involves stepping outside your comfort zone

and discovering your boundaries – both mentally and physically. Creating a safe space is essential to me. A space where you can practice free of judgment while taking full responsibility for yourself. In individual sessions, I adapt each practice to your specific needs, enriching it with techniques from body therapy. I emphasize alignment – with the asana tailored to your body, not the other way around.

Deep Rest Retreat Comporta

A boutique yoga retreat to slow down, rest, and live more intentionally. This retreat is for you if you feel that life rarely slows down. Five days in nature that belong entirely to you. A space where you don’t have to do anything, but simply be. Set in the quiet landscape of Comporta, this retreat invites your body and mind to naturally slow down. Held at Independente Comporta, a place designed for slow living, supports rest, ease, and presence.
At the heart of the retreat is Yoga Nidra, a powerful practice of conscious rest that allows the nervous system to reset and the body to restore its energy. Known as “yogic sleep”, Yoga Nidra goes beyond relaxation—it invites you to reconnect with your inner essence, unlocking profound rest, healing, and self-awareness. Strong yet grounding yoga flows, meditation, workshops on longevity and quiet moments of reflection support the process. You will leave feeling deeply rested, inspired and re-energised.

Finding Balance
With Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is about creating balance and offers a wonderful counterbalance to more active yoga positions. Due to the activation of meridians, yin yoga can also be compared to acupuncture treatment. The postures are held for longer and with less muscle tension. By holding them for longer, the exercises have an effect on deeper structures such as fasciae in the body. Fasciae only begin to let go after 3-5 minutes. They connect different structures in our body like a net-like band. In addition to their stabilising function, they enable smooth movement.

It has a positive effect on the nervous system, the circulatory system, the immune system and deep-seated pain. This can also help you to resolve some issues on an emotional level.

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is a guided practice that induces a deep state of relaxation for the body and mind. It activates the parasympathetic nervous system, relaxes the mind, clears the subconscious, and awakens creativity. At the beginning of the session, you set a personal intention while the mind is relaxed and receptive.

Yoga Nidra is a technique that works on both the subconscious and unconscious levels. Through visualization, repressed desires, emotions, and old conflicts can be processed as they move from the unconscious to the conscious mind, while the mind remains relaxed.
